day 2:
we woke up early in the morning at 630am for a nice treat to dim sum by weizhao's cousin. the food's indeed better than singapore's.=)

weizhao's cousin gave us a big hami melon and a huge bag of lychees. and we ended up slicing the hami melon using wz's swiss army knife and eating it on the 2nd night as we were going to hk the next morning. the lychees too. we had loads of fruits that night, and were seriously laughing at the SUPER long slices of hami melon we were having. haha!
then we went back to our room to pack for the next morning.=X

day 3:
we woke up at 5am the next morning. all of us were dying of tiredness lar. we dragged ourselves out of bed, dragged our bags down to the lobby, checked out, deposited our bags in the hotel's store, got a taxi, went down to gong yuan qian's train station, and took a train to gz east station.

didn't take many photos on this day. we figured our way to our hotel, metropark hotel kowloon, and xiuwen and ethel had to hide themselves as the other 3 of us checked in. but the hotel is really quite impressive. rather good location, clean room and toilets, quite spacious room, complimentary drinks and fruits, and newspaper every morning. and another good thing, no floor manager, so that we won't have to sneak in and out everyday. heh.=P
met candy, xiuwen's friend, who's some top person for su yong kang's fanclub. heh. she brought us to a dimsum restaurant just down the road from our hotel. we ate quite nice dimsum once again, and while we were plotting to pay for the meal, she snatched the recipt from ethel and refused to let us pay even though we insisted. first battle we lost.
after that, she brought us to walk along nv ren jie. some rather cheap no-brand stuff. but there were just too many people. and the starting prices were all super high cos that day was a holiday. the next two days when weizhao, xiuwen and raisa went back, they managed to get a lot more stuff from there cos the starting prices were significantly lower. and i'm SO horrible at bargaining. so sometimes, i dun even dare to ask for prices.=X
sat down at some dessert shop after walking through nv ren jie, and we lost another battle when candy went to pay instead of "going to the toilet"! argh. but the dessert was real good.=)
walked down the street and walked into this shop which i think was the espirit factory outlet. went semi-crazy and bought some nice tops. but the stuff were really quite cheap, wanted to look for some nice tops for bro, but couldn't find.=X after that we went to this super crowded shopping mall, with super a lot of stuff, but just too little space to walk around. i think i could have spent a lot more time inside if not for the space constraint and the number of people around. it's like the far east in singapore, but definitely a lot more stuff. just that the things became quite repetitive after a while.
went to have dinner after shopping there. this time round, we became smarter and trapped candy at the end of the table so that she couldn't go pay. when wz went to pay, she told him, "ni qian bian ah." yay finally ONE battle won.=)

after shopping at some new century shopping centre, candy walked us back ALL the way to our hotel, although we stopped so many times along the road just to make her go home. we just can't make her listen to us. wz then sneaked off to buy a drink for her while we were heading back to our hotel. at our hotel, when wz wanted to pass her the drinks, she immediately ran off, and wz ended up following her with the drinks to some junction before she finally relented and took the drink. xw was commenting, "shud have told him he can't come back if he didnt pass her the drinks." so when raisa and i were waiting for him to come back, we were looking for the plastic bag and LUCKILY, he didnt have it in his hands anymore. heh.
so that was our 3rd day.

day 4:
candy was working, so she wasn't with us in the morning. ethel and i went to this SUPER high-end place called langham place but we just escaped after a while cos the stuff there were just so ex! at the same time, xw, wz and raisa went back to nv ren jie to get what they haven't gotten. ethel and i walked around and ended up at nv ren jie to look for them. in the end, we met at krispy kreme, which is some doughnut shop with nice but slightly too sweet doughnuts. ethel and i were quite addicted to it. heh. we bought another dozen for candy, and were plotting to give her the doughnuts.
after that, we met candy at the mtr station and went to causeway bay. nothing much there cos the stuff there were quite high-end too.
along the way, saw some super slim buses that moved by the wires.

we went back to the hotel at 12 plus. finally candy didn't accompany us back, except on the train. we eventually succeeded in making candy carry the plastic bag with the doughnuts and jacket. we all ran out at our stop hoping she wont pass the bag to any of us. you know what she did? she threw the plastic bag with the jacket out of the train! wah! we were amazed by her man, but at the same time a little frustrated cos she just didnt want to accept our gifts. we posted to her in the end.
reached the hotel so late. but i zonked out much earlier than the rest. bet they were laughing at me, as usual cos i had been talking nonsense before i slept each day.=X

we all woke up super late even though we had morning call. i woke up the earliest though it was already 945am. too tired lar. heh.
but anw, we passed all the checks (there were just TOO many of them!) and boarded the plane.

we were so hungry cos it was lunchtime, so we ordered some $4 korean cup noodles. but it was good.=) hot noodles when we were hungry. heh.
felt a lil bu she de when we finally reached the budget terminal. the trip that i was so looking forward to just had to end so soon.=X but of cos considering the amount of stuff i bought, i guess it was a good shopping trip, and i had indeed achieved my aim.=P
and i thought it'd have been better if jun had come along as well. but ah well.
ethel's dad sent me home. and bad news. dad and bro both can't wear the shirts i bought for them! i'm such a lousy person lar seriously. hai. ah well. thought my parents would scold me for the amount of stuff i bought back, but in the end they didn't even after i showed them EVERYTHING! heh. maybe cos it was my own money, and not like i bought very expensive stuff.
here's a summary of the stuff i bought.

of cos there were more random stuff, but didn't add them in. calculated my spendings, and excluding food and snacks, i spent $421.19 in hk, and $ 212.80 in gz. heh. i thought i spent around $800 lar, but realised in the end i was wrong.=X so in total, i spent around $1.4k, which was almost the same as what bro spent in taiwan last year. (i still wanna go taiwan! raisa said our next destination would be taiwan.=P)
ok i think this has been an ultra long post. congrats if you've read till here.=P not many pictures cos most of the time i was shopping.=P i'm well-known amongst the rest for being an impulsive shopper. haha. and i guess we were really lucky during the trip, with such nice "tour guides".
i shall calculate the costings once again when i'm done with tripod stuff. certainly didn't regret spending so much time doing and planning everything! totally a different experience. would love to go on more overseas trips. at least i really did stuff that i nv did in the past. =D

we split up again after breakfast. ethel and i went to look for h&m, while xw, wz and raisa went back to nv ren jie again. they bought a lot of stuff again! and went to look for the lao po bing shop.

we went crazy at h&m lar seriously. thanks to her friend's recommendation, we managed to get a lot a lot of stuff that we wanted. mainly tops lar. reminded me a little of the time with ja at mango, but a lot crazier cos the stuff are more of my type and cheaper too. they had 4 levels of clothes lar! luckily queues there moved rather fast. heh.
dun be alarmed, but i spent around $170 there alone.=X
then ethel and i thought the rest would be joining us, so we more of less took our time. after that we were told to rush to hong kan station, and the rest would rush there too from the hotel. ethel and i were running all the way cos we felt quite guilty for making the rest carry all the bags, and also for almost missing the 4.30pm train. after that, i was just panting like mad lar seriously.=X so long since i ran/jog.=X
were packing clothes on the train. and of cos rested on the way too.
when we reached gz, checked in, and while wz went to his cousin's house, the rest of us went to have dinner at the super nice place again. after that went to walk around the streets again. then we saw this shop with 30rmb bags! went crazy and bought another 2 bags. $6 bags leh, how to resist.=P after that walked down another lane, and went into this 2rmb shop where everything was sold at 2rmb! all of us went crazy esp xiuwen! but there were some VERY nice stuff that were just too cheap to resist. i think i bought 21 stuff there in total. but think about it, that was only $8. haha.
after that, we walked past this rather dark alley with 5rmb, 8rmb and 10rmb belts! we went crazy again lar seriously! i bought 4 belts there for $5. worth it? definitely.=P
we went back to the hotel, and i took out everything i bought at the 2rmb shop. i think xw and ethel regretted not getting some stuff, and in the end, we decided to run back to the shop! at 11pm! we were holding hands and running to the shop, and was glad to see that the shop was still open! i bought another 6 items i think. heh. and we ran back to the hotel once again.=)
had a TOUGH time packing cos we simply have too many things! i came with one bag, and went back with 3. heh. we were all so worried we would have excess baggage.
raisa ethel and i were talking till i fell asleep and they were still talking. heh i think they slept around 4.30am.

woke up rather early again, checked out, took a taxi and then the airport transfer and headed towards the airport. on the way, we were eating macs breakfast.
my stuff exceeded 15kg.=X but of cos we re-arranged our bags and made sure we didnt have to pay. BUT we were stopped after that cos they said our handcarry exceeded the limit as well. wth rite. so we had to check in another 2 bags (thank goodness wz bought two more backpacks.=p) and of cos exceeded our limit cos of that. paid 180rmb as a result. my first time exceeding lar.
