sweden!!=)

i realised i haven't blogged since i came back from stockholm on monday morning. stockholm was soooo fun! it's not like we did much in our two days there, but at least the feeling it gave us was so much better than copenhagen's. there are just so many more things to do there, but due to time constraint, we couldn't. the shopping over there is also much better! bought quite a few items, but didn't have enough cash so was restricted by that.

we spent hell lot of money too! i changed like 90euros and 500 danish kroners and that wasn't even enough. but we all agreed we should have spent a longer time over there.

here's our itinerary:

day 1(friday):
take bus up from cph to malmo (1 hour)
arrived at malmo at 9am
walked around malmo
then we took the night bus up from malmo to stockholm (8 hours)

day 2 (saturday):
arrived at stockholm at 620am
checked into our hostel
walked around stockholm, shopping
nice fine dining dinner at night (which cost us a bomb BUT we really loved it. three of us had reindeer meat)

day 3 (sunday):
checked out of our hostel
went for an archipelgo boat ride in the morning
visited swansen, the open air museum in the afternoon
continued shopping at Old Town, which is very near our hostel
took the night bus from stockholm to copenhagen (9+ hours)
arrived in cph at 8am in the morning the next day
all of us ponned class as a result=P

the bad thing was, i couldn't sleep on both friday and saturday nights. i only slept for 1 hr in the bus from malmo to stockholm, and even in the hostel i couldn't sleep much. so i was so super tired the entire weekend and was kinda running on adrenaline the entire time. but i still enjoyed myself very much!=)

oh oh and cos our hostel at stockholm was a mixed one, we were in the same room as 3 other male brazilians. we were actually quite scared of them at first. when we first went into our room, they were sleeping only with their briefs on, and the entire room was in a mess, with a lot of beer bottles and clothes thrown around. so well, having four girls out of five in our group, we were naturally afraid.

anyway, they didn't turn out to be as scary as we thought. we kinda made sure we were comfortable with our own sleeping arrangements. but well, i couldn't sleep the entire night cos i was afraid they'd do weird stuff when they come back drunk. before leaving to party, one of them even winked at us and said, "sorry for after tonight". in the end, they tiptoed when they stepped into the room, and didn't even make a lot of noise. so yeah, we misunderstood them.

it's quite hilarious also cos when we were playing cards in our room, they asked us, "so what language do you speak in singapore?" BUT the thing was, we were speaking english at that time! haha so i guess our english aren't very understandable.

i suppose it's really quite amazing we're meeting people from all over the world over here. and i mean literally from almost all the continents, north americans (US and canada), south americans (brazil), australians, europeans (almost all countries lar) and of cos asians too. everyone's culture is so different. though i'm actually thinking that the rest love clubbing A LOT more than we singaporeans do. or i guess maybe it's just the five of us who do not like clubbing. we haven't even drank over here.

and yeah i guess i'm quite thankful that the five of us are staying together as one group. we enjoy each other's company, everyone compromises and gives in, and we also try to tolerate each other's habits and practices. i guess this is a lot more precious to me than simply travelling. their company really make all the travelling so much more fun and exciting.
